HEART is my WHY
I don’t just run for the miles—I run for my son.
At my 20-week anatomy scan, Connor was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. In an instant, our world shifted. What should have been a joyful season became one filled with fear, uncertainty, and the unknown.
At just seven weeks old, Connor underwent emergency open-heart surgery. He fought with a strength far beyond his size and came home just days later—but our lives were forever changed.
Before his first birthday, he faced a second open-heart surgery. While many parents celebrate firsts, we spent that year watching oxygen levels and praying he would reach that milestone.
And yet—he did.
Today, we celebrate the moments that matter most: his first bike ride, becoming a big brother, and the friendships he’s built. His younger brother, Andrew, looks up to him in a way only a sibling can—learning resilience simply by watching Connor live.
Running started as my outlet. It became my strength. Now, it is my purpose.
Every mile I run is for Connor. For Andrew.
For children fighting battles they never chose.
For families sitting in hospital rooms, praying for one more good update.
I run for a future where congenital heart defects are better understood, better treated—and one day, prevented.
Your support is more than a donation.
It’s hope. It’s healing. It’s more time.
