Please help me support Girl Power 2 Cure in their efforts to raise funds for research for Rett Syndrome.
Rett Syndrome is a debilitating neurological disorder that predominantly affects females (but can also affect boys). Rett Syndrome is the leading genetic cause of severe neurological impairment in girls and is characterized by a single gene mutation that leads to underproduction of an important brain protein known as MECP2.
This is my 8th year running the Princess Half and my 4th year running and fundraising for Girl Power 2 Cure!!!! Girl Power 2 Cure is a nonprofit organization leading a movement to end Rett Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder that primarily affects girls. Before my first year fundraising for GP2C I had never heard of Rett Syndrome. Seeing the AMAZING families that have daughters with Rett Syndrome truly inspired me to help the cause. Less than 1,000 cases a year in the US and with no cure any donation helps!
