It has been 8 years that our father Luis has been fighting his battle with MDS-a blood cancer.  He has proven to be a very strong and courageous 93 year old who refuses to give up and give into this disease.   He has been able to maintain a good quality of life with the support of his wonderful doctors and nurses at MGH in Boston.   He is dedicated to staying on course with his chemo medication, maintaining his special diet, tending to his frequent medical appointments and avoiding catching infections that may cause him his life.  He remains hopeful and positive spending as much time as he is able with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces, nephews and friends, as we help him navigate this often challenging MDS journey.  We are walking once again as a family, through the MDS foundation, who has provided invaluable resources, support and research to help conquer this disease.  We walk together, for our father, the families inflicted by MDS, for the foundation, for hope and for a cure!    We ask that you join us in the walk or to make a donation big or small in honor of our father "Lucho"
