Why Am I Running for Queens Centers for Progress?
The real question is Why Not?! Words will never do justice as to why I've run for Team QCP since November 2014, but a few come to mind: purpose, passion, perseverance, and impacting community. What began as an entry into the legendary NYCM blossomed into so much more with each subsequent 26.2. A marathon is much more than a race -- it's an experience that is underscored by running for a deserving charitable partner like QCP. The privilege to run for Team QCP Runners in New York, Chicago and Berlin has been life-changing and life-affirming, even when it was hard. Most importantly, it has directly impacted programs that children, adults and families with disabilities depend on to live their best lives. I'm excited to take it on once more with feeling and appreciate your support. Now more than ever, the non-profit sector needs all of us to impact this deserving community. "The stakes may be higher, and the journey may be longer, but I will finish." ~Mr. Shack, who continues to inspire
