- Provide enriching individual and family programs including education, fitness, social outings, relatiosnhip building, public speaking, and safety to name a few.
- Award grants to families across South Central Wisconsin.
- Send free support packets to new and expectant parents receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis.

This walk is the heartbeat of our organization — funding the majority of the services and events we provide year-round. Your participation and support directly empower individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Registration Details

T-Shirt Deadline:
Register by Monday, September 1 to guarantee your official Walk T-shirt!

Late Registration:
Open until Sunday, October 5 (Walk Day) – T-shirts not guaranteed.

  • Walk Participant (ages 3+): $30

  • Ages 2 and under: Free

  • Individuals with Down syndrome: Free

  • Virtual Walker (includes shipped T-shirt): $25

  • Day-of Registration: Available at the event (no guarantee for shirts or prizes)

21 Showcase Red Carpet Walk

We will have our 21 Showcase (red carpet walk) where individuals with Down syndrome or related disabilities of ALL ages can walk the RED CARPET in front of their family and friends. 

The deadline to submit a photo of your loved one is Monday, September 15.

If you missed the September 15 deadline, you can still sign up until the morning (by 11:30am) of our Annual Awareness Walk on Sunday, October 5. They will NOT, however, receive an individual picture to carry!

About DSAW-South Central

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin is (DSAW) provide support to Wisconsin families and individuals with Down syndrome and related disabilities through awareness, education, information, programs, services, and the exchange of ideas and experiences.

The vision of DSAW is to continually strive toward full acceptance, full access, full potential, and a full life to make Wisconsin the best supported state for people with Down syndrome and their loved ones.

DSAW-South Central serves Sauk, Columbia, Iowa, Dane, Jefferson, Lafayette, Green, and Rock Counties.

The DSAW-South Central chapter is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization organized through the Down Syndrome Association of WI, Inc. All donations are tax-deductible and support programs and services in South Central Wisconsin.
