Be the Moment that Matters
This year's Pig Pickin' will be on Saturday, October 24th (Time TBD) at Clouds Brewing downtown (505 West Jones St). Event Organizers include: Thomas Nisbet, and Hugh Harris
Proceeds from the event will help a teen find safe shelter, instead of spending a night outside. It will help a young person begin mental health counseling, to start believing in themselves again. And it will fund the moment a youth realizes they have people in their corner, and a future worth pursuing.
At Haven House, those moments happen every day. They become turning points that lead to stable housing, stronger mental health, educational success, meaningful employment, and brighter futures.

What Your Gift Makes Possible
$10,000 ($830/month) = Move-in expenses so 8 young adults and their small children (if applicable) can move from homelessness to housing as part of our Transition in Place program.
$5,000 ($415/month) = 50 hours of therapy for youth struggling with mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
$2,500 ($210/month) = 5 months of outreach and basic needs for 2 youth experiencing homelessness.
$1,000 ($84/month) = 1 youth can build strength, and confidence in our after-school fitness program.
$500 ($42/month) = 10 hours of mentoring and resources for youth having difficulty at home or school.
$250 ($21/month) = Safe haven for 1 night at Wrenn House for a youth aged 10-17 who is experiencing homelessness and/or in a crisis (includes shelter, food, counseling, and other support).
$100 ($8/month) = 1 hour of crisis counseling to youth and/or their families. Last year we answered nearly 1,200 crisis calls.
