The Law Firm Challenge (LFC) is an annual event to support youth in our community through Haven House Services. The collective goal is to raise $75,000 from October 19th - 23rd. The firm that raises the most money by 4pm on Friday, October 23rd, wins the traveling trophy for the year.

 

Be the Moment that Matters

A single moment can change the course of a young person's future.

This fall, our firms are joining together in support of Haven House so they can provide a safe place to stay, a counselor who listens, and help navigating a problem at home or school for more than 1,300 youth in the Triangle. Donate and become the moment a young person's story begins to change.

 

PLEASE NOTE: From 3 pm to 4 pm on October 23rd, all donations must be made online to count toward the firm's total for the purpose of winning the challenge.

For Participating Firms: Please reach out to your firm's contact. They will email the pledged amount to be added to your team's page by 3 pm on October 23rd.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

$10,000 ($830/month) = Move-in expenses so 8 young adults and their small children (if applicable) can move from homelessness to housing as part of our Transition in Place program.

$5,000 ($415/month) = 50 hours of therapy for youth struggling with mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.

$2,500 ($210/month) = 5 months of outreach and basic needs for 2 youth experiencing homelessness.

$1,000 ($84/month) = 1 youth can build strength, and confidence in our after-school fitness program.

$500 ($42/month) = 10 hours of mentoring and resources for youth having difficulty at home or school.

$250 ($21/month) = Safe haven for 1 night at Wrenn House for a youth aged 10-17 who is experiencing homelessness and/or in a crisis (includes shelter, food, counseling, and other support).

$100 ($8/month) = 1 hour of crisis counseling to youth and/or their families. Last year we answered nearly 1,200 crisis calls.
