My mother was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome in 2021 when we noticed her platelet count became lower and lower from 2019 to 2021.  There's no great treatment for it and the treatment available was too harsh on her body and caused the complication that lead to her passing.  It's a rare enough condition that even my physician friends and I don't know much about it.  I want to raise awareness and raise money to find better treatment for MDS so others may have a longer time with their loved ones who receive such devastating diagnosis.
