Hello everyone, thank you for donating to the Lansing Area AIDS Network! LAAN provides a variety of services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Lansing area. LAAN is dedicated to meeting the needs of people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and to preventing the spread of the virus.
LAAN case managers provide initial and ongoing client needs assessment. They are involved with the development, implementation, and evaluation of health and support service plans; and are also responsible for locating, coordinating, and monitoring cost-effective, timely delivery of quality services. Case managers also act as advocates for clients. They serve as a central point of access for the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in this region.
LAAN offers risk reduction and communicable disease education to community groups, schools, substance abuse treatment centers, homeless shelters, churches, colleges, and universities.
LAAN offers free anonymous HIV anit-body testing at various sites, residential substance abuse treament centers, and at some outreach activities, providing competent and appropriate counseling and testing.
