I have been fortunate enough to run the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge (10k & Half Marathon) three times now. This year coming February, I decided I wanted these miles to make a difference for someone else. I often take my health for granted when there are so many in the world that are suffering. I am in a RunDisney Facebook group and I met the mother of a little girl with Rett Syndrome there. After learning about the disease and how it affects these children and families, I knew I had to help. Rett Syndrom affects mostly little girls. These infants seem healthy during their first six months, but over time, rapidly lose coordination, speech, and use of the hands. These families go through so much including very high medical bills. The money raised here goes to helping those families and to research. Please help me help these beautiful little girls and their families. I can't wait to meet them all in February at Princess Half Marathon Weekend!
