Charlie’s Angels Fundraising Page
Our Story
September 13, 2018 was the day our lives forever changed. On that day our youngest daughter Charlotte, or as her big brother and sister call her "Baby Charlie" was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.
Charlie began missing milestones at 6 months of age. Her pediatrician and the wonderful team at Walter Reed worked tirelessly to find out what was going on. Fast forward to September 2018, we heard words like "neurological disorder", "developmental delay", and "incurable".
Rett Syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects mainly girls. Most of our Rett angels cannot walk, crawl, run, or dance. Some can speak, most cannot. As of now, there is no cure for Rett Syndrome, but with the help of Girl Power 2 Cure, more research is being funded to seek out a cure. Every donation gets us one step closer to a cure, and even the smallest dollar amount helps!
This year I am teaming up with GP2C to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon for my Charlie, and all the other Rett angels who cannot run it themselves.
Together, we can help find a cure for Rett Syndrome! We are #CHARLIESTRONG!
