Willa was recently diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a random genetic mutation that impacts a child's ability to talk, walk, breathe normally, use her hands, and interact socially. The list of medical complications is long and includes significant seizure activity. Rett children are brave and smart and waiting for advancements that will help them recover.
Willa’s family is running for Girl Power 2 Cure, an organization that contributes to family support, education, and research for a cure. Rett is on track to be the first reversible neurological disorder. This will pave the way for treatments of other neurological disorders such as Autism, Alzheimer’s, bipolar and more.
