For Simone!

Rett Syndrome is a rare (about 1 in 10,000 females) and severe neurological and developmental disorder that disrupts the way the brain develops. Rett Syndrome affects nearly every aspect of life, such as the ability to speak, walk, and eat to name a few. Rett Syndrome is caused by a rare genetic mutation in the MECP2 gene which is located in the X-chromosome, which is why this occurs almost exclusively in females. Females with Rett Syndrome are usually characterized by a "normal" early growth but unfortunately continue to develop in a slowing and deteriorating aspect. 

Our team will be participating in this wonderful event for Simone and to help support ALL of the individuals who are affected by RETT Syndrome. With your help we will be able to fundraise money to help benefit Girl Power 2 Cure!
