Spencer was born on February 9, 2016 with Heterotaxy Syndrome which is a Congential Heart Defect.  He had his first heart surgery 1 week later where they created pulmonary arterties and put in a shunt.   We left the hospital on March 15th.  Spencer did great at home where he continued to grow and was a champ at eating.  On August 8, 2106, Spencer had his 2nd planned heart surgery a bi-lateral Glenn Procedure.  He sailed through it and was discharged 5 days later.  He continues to do well at home.  The only medication he is on is aspirin daily.  Now he is a happy, active 15 month old with a couple year break from his next heart surgery.
