The "Q.T.ies" are walking on June 24th, 2017 in support of children's cardiac care. The majority of our family members have an incurable but treatable genetic heart condition called Long QT Syndrome or "LQTS". It is the prolongation of the heart beat between the "Q" and the "T" intervals that can cause fainting, seizures, and even death. We've lost two family members due to cardiac arrest as a result of this condition, prior to diagnosis. Proceeds from this event benefit cardiac care at Children's Hospital of Minnesota.
