Our Tiny Princess Warrior Lana Rose was born 4 months premature at 24 weeks on August 16th, 2015, due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome, and diagnosed as IUGR, and later, with BPD (chronic lung desease) and pulmonary hypertension. She spent 6 long, grueling, yet life-saving months at the NICU and fought a tough and hard battle, and came out victoriously. The past 13+ months at home have been truly remarkable, but not without their own set of challenges and obstacles as a result of her premature birth. Despite the many odds against her (and us, her Warrior Parents!), we couldn't be prouder to have Lana as our daughter, and as a shinning example of what a little love, hope, faith, patience, TLC and lots of amazing doctors, nurses and life-saving therapies can achieve.

There is no question in our minds...Lana Rose is a miracle! Weighing only 12 ounces and measuring 10.5 inches at birth, she was the second smallest micro-preemie to be born and survie...and THRIVE at Children's Minneapolis NICU. We are so incredibly lucky and fortunate to have been at the right place at the right time. We are walking proudly and with our heads held high to not only honor and thank Lana's incredible support team, but also to help and inspire families, caregivers and infants the world over.
