Ben's Heart Brigade is kicking off its 6th fundraising year in support of the cardiovascular program at Children's of Minnesota at the HeartBeat 5000. Words cannot possibly convey the depth of gratitude we feel for the hospital and clinics that have made our son's full life possible. So, we'll let the numbers do the talking. In the nearly 7 years since Ben was born:
He's had 9 surgeries (3 of which were open heart surgeries, and 2 of which were heart catheterizations).
He's spent a total of 35 days inpatient at Children's.
We have raised more than $15K as a team to benefit the cardiovascular program at Children's.
We have cracked the top 5 fundraising teams nearly every year since we started doing this!
We have had the pleasure of watching our 5 lb miracle baby grow and thrive into a nearly 7 year old boy, who has an active and full life all thanks to the incredible care he has received at Children's.
We would greatly appreciate your support at this year's race! We will, once again, have a team of walkers and runners. We would love a rowdy group of spectators as well! We hope you will make plans to join us the morning of Saturday, June 24, as we honor this incredible place that has made our family possible.
