The Hand UP Luncheon is United Against Poverty Orlando’s annual fundraising and awareness event dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through the power of partnerships.
This inspiring gathering brings together community leaders, supporters, and advocates to learn how comprehensive, wraparound services can create lasting change for individuals and families.
Through powerful stories of resilience and success, attendees experience the real-life impact of UP Orlando’s holistic approach, including crisis stabilization, workforce training through the Success Training Employment Program (STEP), and access to nutritious food through the Member Share Grocery Program.
Together, these services provide neighbors with the tools, resources, and support they need to move from crisis to stability and toward long-term self-sufficiency.
The Hand UP Luncheon is more than an event—it is an opportunity to invest in solutions, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure UP Orlando can continue uplifting lives with dignity, hope, and opportunity.

1) Register for the Hand UP Luncheon Today
Be part of our signature fundraising event! You can attend as a Table Host or a guest. Table Hosts are encouraged to fill an entire table (8 seats, including themselves), but seats don’t need to be purchased all at once. Each seat is just $25 – that provides a family of four with an entire week of food through the UP Orlando Member Share Grocery Program. Come celebrate, connect, and make a direct impact on local families.
2) Make a General Donation
Every dollar counts! One-time or recurring donations allow us to respond quickly to families in need and ensure our programs continue at full capacity. Your gift helps provide food, clothing, employment support, and more to families in our community.
3) Become a Hand UP Luncheon Sponsor
Sponsorship helps make the Hand UP Luncheon a success while giving your organization visibility and a chance to directly support families in need. Sponsors receive seats or tables, recognition in event materials, and the knowledge that your support helps us reach our fundraising goal and host a meaningful, beautiful event.
