BOUNDLESS FUTURES THROUGH EDUCATION

What is Junior Achievement?

Junior Achievement (JA) is a worldwide nonprofit organization that plays a crucial role in providing young people with the skillset and mindset to succeed in a global economy and build thriving communities.

By collaborating with local schools, businesses, and communities, Junior Achievement delivers age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences that focus on financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship. By aligning the learning experiences with national and state education standards, Junior Achievement ensures the programs are relevant and complementary to the regular school curriculum. The programs are designed to help students connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom, preparing them to make informed decisions about their futures and empowering them to take ownership of their economic success.

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin – South Central Region collaborates with local schools, businesses, and communities in thirteen South Central Wisconsin counties to provide JA learning experiences to thousands of students (grades K-12) annually. The JA learning experiences are typically delivered by volunteers from the business community who serve as role models for the students, bringing real-world experiences and knowledge into the classroom.

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin – South Central Region serves students in Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Richland, Rock, Sauk, and Walworth counties.
