My Personal Fundraising Page
Junior Achievement is very important to Oklahoma's students . . .
Thank you so much for your interest in my FUNraising 4 JA page! As you probably know, I enjoy mentoring students and often do that through Junior Achievement. I am currently volunteering in two classrooms this semester - one at Putnam City Original H.S. and another at John Marshall H.S. I share with them about career success, which starts with problem solving and conflict management in the workplace, what should be on a resume and cover letter, where to look for a job, how an interview goes, and so on! It's a blast, and I can really tell I'm making a difference through JA!
I find it disheartening that 23% of children in Oklahoma do not have a working adult in the home. JA volunteers in the classroom often fill the need of a mentor and role model to give students hope for their future. JA programs offer relevance through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness programs.
Together we can make a difference. And, I would greatly appreciate your help in supporting my efforts to support our children through JA's programs!
