Join us for JOY International’s Barefoot Mile 2020 on July 25th! We're walking a mile, barefoot, in solidarity with “the least of these” – trafficked children, teens, and adults around the world. This year, you can join us from anywhere -- your neighborhood, your church parking lot, or even a trail! 

JOY’s founder, Dr. Jeff Brodsky, has been going barefoot day in and day out for the past 10 years, and for a mile, we get to join him and raise the money needed to enable more rescues of these children in the year ahead. 
 

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Here are a few ways you can support our team and JOY International in reaching the event goal of $30,000:

1. Give. You can give toward our team’s goal right here and/or throw down a matching donation challenge. 
    
2. Join. Walk with us! The Barefoot Mile is a family-friendly event where we get to meet at a beautiful park in Littleton and walk around a lake, but we have a virtual option this year so you can walk from wherever you are. Even though the topic is heavy, they do a really good at keeping the event family-friendly and hopeful. (In fact, they have a great family-friendly curriculum to help in talking to kids here.)
    
3. Share. Go for it and start a team for your church (maybe your church does laps around the church parking lot). See if your company matches donations. Post about the event on social media. Send a quick note to your close network.

An important note: COVID-19 may dictate that this walk happens fully virtually this year, and the Barefoot Mile team is prepared for that. Already, anyone can join the team and walk around their neighborhood, raising funds from wherever they are. JOY International depends on these Barefoot Miles to do this important work and we’re determined to make this the most impactful year yet.
