About the Event

The Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation’s 4th Annual More Than a Pink Ribbon Awards Luncheon, presented by Virginia Women's Center, brings together the breast cancer community in metro Richmond to celebrate accomplishments in breast cancer education and advocacy for Virginians. Awards include Achievement in Healthcare, Community Champion, and Legislative Impact. Held during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this event offers education, networking, and inspiration for our vision of eradicating breast cancer.

Where Your Money Goes

VBCF is doing important work across the entire state of Virginia. Each year there are 7,600 women and men in Virginia who are diagnosed with breast cancer and 1,150 women and men who die from breast cancer.

The money we raise through events like the More Than A Pink Ribbon Awards Luncheon is used to empower Virginians impacted by breast cancer through access, advocacy, education, and community action. VBCF offers free breast health education and resources; support kits for newly diagnosed patients, caregivers, and survivors; and advocates for improved health care and breast cancer research dollars for the state.

In 2022, VBCF established a Breast Screening and Diagnostic Services Fund to assist Southwest Virginians in financial need and we plan to establish a similar fund in metro Richmond fund later this year.

VBCF is a 501(c) 3 organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service with federal tax identification number 54-1633519. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
