It wasn't until Zaeleigh was born that we found out she had spina bifida. She will soon be a year old and this past year has flown with all of the unknowns. But, the Spina Bifida Association of KY has stepped up, reached out, connected us and has helped us in all of the uncertain times. This association has been such a blessing, not only for me as Zaeleigh's mom, but it has helped her dad and big sister. The FAMILY friendly events that have been held have been nothing short of amazing. With Zaeleigh having Spina bifida it has taken a huge part of all of our lives the past 11 months and we aren't sure what the future holds for her and her diagnosis, but as we go through this, we know that SBAK is here for not only her, but us as a family too.
