Children's is such an amazing place! They saved Connor's life, and for that we are so thankful! If there is any way we can help give back to them or help other families going through such struggles, we are going to try our best to do what we can! 

Our Story...

At two months old, we took Connor to his well child visit.  We assumed he would check out great as he was growing, loved to eat, and seemed to be a healthy baby.  But instead, it was the begining of the scariest time of our lives.  His heart likely started to fail that morning and his oxygen levels went from 70% down to 30% just in the time it took us to get from Grand Rapids, MN to Minneapolis.  Within 45 minutes of being at Children's they had a diagnosis. Connor had Transposition of the Great Arteries.  Not an extremely rare condition, but it is usually diagnosed before or shortly after birth and they rarely make it more than a week or two without an arterial switch.  The fact that Connor made it 2 months was rare and a miracle in itself, but it complicated things quite a bit.  The cardiovascular team, however, took such great care of him and we can't thank them enough!
