My son Amare was born at 30 weeks 1 day. Weighing in at a whooping 3# 14 oz! He faced several complications such as brain bleed, weak lungs, and forgetting to breath, and 8 weeks of nicu hospitalization. Long term, he has poor eye sight and asthma, typical of preemies. Luckily, he did not face more severe health issues, short term or long term. Help me, help the nicu! Lets get them more funding for increased education, research, and family/baby care!
