Sullivan Robert came into this world five and a half weeks early on November 5th, 2017.  While in labor they told us our baby would automatically have to go to the NICU simply because of how early he was coming.  Thankfully for us, Sully came out crying and was the big kid in the NICU at 5lbs. 5oz., 19 inches long.  

Sully spent ten days at the NICU at Children’s Hospital of St. Paul working on learning to eat so he could get off of a feeding tube.  With the wonderful team of Doctors and Nurses on his side he learned how to nurse and has been growing and healthy ever since.

While ten days felt like a lifetime to us, it truly is a short stay at Children’s Hospital.  We also felt blessed to have a healthy baby, one that likely will live a normal life without complications.  But, we saw what “hospital life” can really be like, and how much care some little ones and their families need.

We are walking in our son’s name, but more so to help raise money to support those who are truly in need.  And, to give back to Children’s Hospital and their MOST amazing, caring and helpful staff.  Even the housekeepers in the NICU showed us such compassion in an unknown time in our world.
