My name is Alissa. I am currently a healthy 25-year old individual, college graduate. My ties to Children's Hospital in Minnesota are strong and life-long. I am honored and so blessed to have had Children's when I was born. I was born 3-months prematurely in 1992 weighing only 1lb. 5oz., and had a hard fight for life. I spent 3-months after my birth in the NICU under intensive care by the doctors. I was baptized 3 days after my birth for the risk that I would never live. I am blessed greatly and thank Children's immensely because I feel that without their care and the knowledge of the doctors that I had I wouldn't be here today to tell my story.
