Mighty Margaret was born January 5th, 2017.  She spent the first 44 days of her life inpatient at Children's Minneapolis before finally being discharged to go home for the very first time.  During her stay at Children's she spent most of her days on the 5th floor (CVCC/CVICU).  Here, she made a name for herself by being full of surprises and having a strong set of lungs.  Margaret has a congenital heart defect that is a form of Tetralogy of Fallot: Pulmonary Atresia with VSD and MAPCAs.  So far, she has had three heart surgeries, one being open heart when she was just under 6 months old.  She also has had three heart catheterizations and two feeding tube surgeries.  With each stay at Children's, Margaret continues to keep the nurses and doctors on their toes.  It's difficult to bring Margaret back for procedures, however, knowing that she is in the best hands makes it a little bit easier for her mom and dad.  We know that with each admittance and each appointment, Margaret (and our family!) are well taken care of.  For this reason, we are fundraising for the Walk for Amazing with all of the funds that our team collects going to the cardiac program.  This place is the reason why we are able to be home with our beautiful daughter living a "normal" life.
