When Vera was born, there were so many scary unknowns.  But here we are 3 years later, and the joy she brings to our family helps ease the thoughts of those unknowns.  She is healthy, happy, and growing into an amazing little girl.  She loves dancing, playing make believe, dreaming, being outside, swimming, hanging with her sister, and uno!  We have been so lucky that her heart keeps growing strong despite it's defects.  We don't take any day for granted with her.  Each one of her giggles and each one of her smiles reminds me why it is so important to keep fighting for research and funding for congential heart defects.  She will need care and possibly more surgeries as she grows up.  I want it to be the best, for her and for other brave children like her.  We need their joy in our world.  It's making it a better place.  Go team Bravehearts!
