"I am participating in the Homeless Experience Project in order to raise awareness to the plight faced by our homeless population. Each year over 400 homeless individuals are booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail. The correlation between housing insecurity and criminality needs to be explored by the leaders of our local criminal justice system. "

Aurora is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless and near homeless in the Greater Evansville, IN area. Each year, it serves over 350 individuals: men, women, children, seniors, those with disabilities, and the re-entry population. 

The Homeless Experience Project is Aurora's fundraiser and awareness event and its purpose is to bring a greater understanding of the struggles the families and individuals face when homeless in our community. If you'd like to support Aurora, please donate to my fundraising page!
