Mallory’s Service Dog Fundraising Page
Mallory is a bright, determined 4-year-old who has faced extraordinary challenges since birth. She experienced Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), which resulted in several complex medical needs, including:
-
Epilepsy
-
Cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia)
-
Developmental delays
-
Non-verbal communication
-
Mild sleep apnea
-
G-tube dependence
Mallory has been in therapy since she was just a few months old, and every single day she amazes us with her strength, resilience, and joyful spirit.
A Family Full of Love
Mallory is surrounded by an incredible support system. Her mom, Emily, and dad, John, work tirelessly to ensure she receives the care, therapies, and opportunities she needs to thrive.
She also has a little sister, Lainey, who adores her big sister beyond words. Mallory loves to hug her sister, and it’s incredibly sweet to watch the two of them reach for each other to hold hands. Whether Lainey is helping push Mallory in her gait trainer—or sneaking a ride herself—their bond is already filled with love, laughter, and encouragement.
Who Mallory Is
Mallory is one of the happiest little girls you’ll ever meet. She loves attention, enjoys “going to the gyms” for her therapy workouts, and has a smile that instantly lights up a room. Her determination and positivity shine through everything she does.
Why a Service Dog Matters
We have begun the application process through 4 Paws for Ability to secure a service dog for Mallory—a journey that can take up to two years. These highly trained service dogs are life-changing for children with mobility challenges, seizure disorders, and developmental delays.
A service dog will help Mallory with:
-
Mobility support and stability
-
Balance assistance
-
Seizure response and safety
-
Emotional comfort, confidence, and independence
-
Support during therapy sessions and daily routines
For Mallory, this dog will not simply be a companion—it will be a trusted partner in safety, confidence, and everyday life.
Our Fundraising Goal
Training and placing a service dog is a significant investment. The average cost to raise, train, and place a service dog through 4 Paws for Ability ranges from $40,000–$60,000. While the organization fundraises to cover much of this cost, families are responsible for raising $20,000—or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle, or papillon.
Our goal is to raise $23,000 to help make Mallory’s service dog a reality.
How You Can Help
Your support—whether through donating or sharing this page—means more than words can express. Many of you have already shown incredible generosity through private donations connected to Mallory’s GoFundMe, and a portion of those funds will also go toward helping fund her service dog.
Mallory has already overcome so much. With the continued love and support of our family, friends, and community, there is no limit to what she can achieve.
Thank you for supporting Mallory’s journey and helping us take this life-changing step forward.
Training a service dog to meet our child’s requirements can be very costly. On average it costs between $40,000-60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog at 4 Paws for Ability. While 4 Paws for Ability fundraises to help cover a significant portion of this cost, families are tasked with raising $20,000 of that amount or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle or papillon. We hope that we can receive assistance from our beloved family and friends to help make our service dog dream a reality.
