Paws 4 Mila
Mila has always been one of the strongest little girls we know.
From the time she was just a baby, our family has been advocating for her every step of the way. We have traveled to see specialists, spent countless hours in appointments and therapies, and searched for every possible way to give her the safest, happiest, and most independent life possible. Every milestone she reaches is something we celebrate deeply.
Despite the challenges epilepsy brings, Mila continues to amaze us with her strength, resilience, and joyful spirit. Watching her play, laugh, and grow reminds us every day why we never stop fighting for her.
A seizure service dog could be truly life-changing for Mila and our entire family.
Service dogs are specially trained to respond during seizures, provide comfort, and help keep their partner safe - provides stability for some of the balance and visual setbacks and limitations that Mila experiences with her TUBB5 diagnosis. For children with epilepsy, these dogs offer not only protection, but also confidence and companionship.
Studies show the incredible impact service dogs have on families:
• 87% of families say their service dog helped their loved one gain greater independence.
• 96% of families report positive benefits for the entire family.
• 92.6% feel a greater sense of safety with their service dog.
• 96.3% say their mental health improved with a service dog.
• 92% report fewer meltdowns due to the calming support a service dog provides.
For Mila, a seizure dog could mean greater safety, more independence, and a constant companion who is trained to be by her side through it all.
We are so grateful for the incredible support from our family, friends, and community. Your love, encouragement, and generosity help us continue advocating for Mila and believing in a future filled with possibility.

With Much Love,
The Gualdoni Family
Training a service dog to meet our child’s requirements can be very costly. On average it costs between $40,000-60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog at 4 Paws for Ability. While 4 Paws for Ability fundraises to help cover a significant portion of this cost, families are tasked with raising $20,000 of that amount or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle or papillon. We hope that we can receive assistance from our beloved family and friends to help make our service dog dream a reality.
