4 Paws 4 Braxton

Help Us Bring Braxton’s Service Dog Home!

Our sweet son, Braxton, has officially been approved for a service dog through 4 Paws for Ability!

Braxton is an amazing, loving little boy who has autism and faces significant challenges with elopement, safety awareness, sensory overwhelm, and self-regulation. A service dog could provide additional support with safety, elopement prevention, tracking, regulation, and help him participate more fully in everyday life and family activities.

The total cost to raise and train Braxton’s service dog is approximately $40,000. 4 Paws for Ability helps families raise half of that cost, and our family is responsible for raising the remaining $20,000.

Our biggest hope is that this service dog will give our family more opportunities to say “yes” instead of “no.” More opportunities for Braxton to safely experience the world around him, and more opportunities for him and his brother to experience life side by side.

If you’re able to contribute, every donation brings us one step closer to bringing Braxton’s service dog home. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another incredibly meaningful way to help us reach our goal.

Thank you for believing in Braxton, supporting our family, and helping us on this journey.

Training a service dog to meet our child’s requirements can be very costly. On average it costs between $40,000-60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog at 4 Paws for Ability. While 4 Paws for Ability fundraises to help cover a significant portion of this cost, families are tasked with raising $20,000 of that amount or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle or papillon. We hope that we can receive assistance from our beloved family and friends to help make our service dog dream a reality.
