My name is Tate, and I am 11 years old. I love my family, my church, and especially animals! My favorite dogs are Golden Retrievers. I love learning new things, jumping on my trampoline, going to the zoo, and playing at the park.
I am really excited about getting a service dog! Sometimes life can feel overwhelming for me, and having a service dog by my side would help me feel more supported, calm, and confident as I navigate everyday life. My service dog would not only be a helper, but also a companion and friend.
Thank you so much for helping me get my service dog. Your kindness and support mean so much to me and my family. This dog will make a huge difference in my life, and I can’t wait to meet my new best friend!
Thank you,
Tate
Training a service dog to meet our child’s requirements can be very costly. On average it costs between $40,000-60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog at 4 Paws for Ability. While 4 Paws for Ability fundraises to help cover a significant portion of this cost, families are tasked with raising $20,000 of that amount or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle or papillon. We hope that we can receive assistance from our beloved family and friends to help make our service dog dream a reality.
