Hi I am Ryders Mom!

Ryder is 10 years old and Autistic. He is non-verbal and uses an AAC device and some basic ASL signs.
Ryder does Stim a lot of the time to help self regulate. He also has meltdowns due to communication and or sensory overload.

Our goal with Ryder receiving a service dog is to help with behavioral intervention, scent tracking and guiding.

We want to make life easier for him as much as possible as the world is not made to navigate Ryder, He has to learn to navigate the world. We believe with having this new best friend will benefit him in everyday life.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you are able to donate we want you to know that every penny is appreciated beyond measure!!

❤️Ryder and his family!

Training a service dog to meet our child’s requirements can be very costly. On average it costs between $40,000-60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog at 4 Paws for Ability. While 4 Paws for Ability fundraises to help cover a significant portion of this cost, families are tasked with raising $20,000 of that amount or $23,000 if receiving a poodle, doodle or papillon. We hope that we can receive assistance from our beloved family and friends to help make our service dog dream a reality.
