Join us for the 6th Annual Walk with Me Centre County

We are moving our walk to a new location this year!  Join the fun at Penn's Prairie Park and support those with disabilities and other needs.

Penn’s Prairie Park is a vibrant multi‑purpose destination that blends recreation, wildlife conservation, and historic prairie restoration. Nestled in Centre Hall, PA, it serves as “a community resource where people of all abilities can pursue individual and group leisure activities.”

The park features a wide range of amenities, including multi‑use athletic fields, an 18‑hole disc golf course, a playground, a pavilion, and a bike course. Visitors can also enjoy ADA‑accessible walking trails—complete with a charming storybook trail—making it a welcoming outdoor space for families, nature lovers, and community groups alike.

Walk with me is an opportunity for families, friends and co-workers to come together in celebration of those with disabilities and other needs.  Individuals of all ages and abilities will have an opportunity to participate in this one-mile walk/wheel around the park.

Included with your registration fee are t-shirts, snacks and entertainment.

Be the top fundraising team and win a pizza party!

Meet Willow and Brandy

Willow and Brandy currently work together at the Easterseals Child Development Center, but their paths to get here have been very different—even though they first met when Willow was just a toddler.

Willow Bierly is an 18‑year‑old who loves music, all things Disney, and working with young children at the Easterseals CDC in State College. Although she has only been employed as a classroom assistant in the Lion Cub room for a few months, her connection to Easterseals began much earlier. Diagnosed with autism at age 3, Willow became an Easterseals client, receiving speech and occupational therapy as well as classroom instruction. Once Easterseals became part of her daily routine, she truly flourished.

Willow and her family never forgot how those early years shaped her life. What once felt nearly impossible for her now feels within reach. Today, she is thriving in an environment where she can support children who are experiencing some of the same challenges she once did. Easterseals helped build the foundation for Willow’s success in school—and now, it’s helping lay the foundation for her career.

Brandy Prebble’s journey with Easterseals began 20 years ago when her son Gareth enrolled in the program. Gareth, who had cerebral palsy and significant medical needs, thrived in Easterseals’ supportive and inclusive preschool environment. Her son, Collin, who is typically developing, also benefited from the program’s strong social and academic foundation. Following the loss of Gareth, Brandy’s connection to Easterseals became deeply personal. Giving back to the community that once supported her family brings her immense joy.
