I’m participating in Care Dimensions 38th Annual Walk for Hospice, a fundraiser supporting Care Dimensions, Inc.! I’m passionate about this cause and I hope you too will support it.  Here is what your donations support:

• Training volunteers like me to provide compassionate,  appropriate companionship to people in hospice care, including vigil work and caretaker respite
• Hiring and paying full time medical staff who serve patients both in the hospice houses and those doing hospice in their own home
• Provide complementary services to patients like reiki, pet therapy, massage, and music therapy
• Provide the most robust grief services program in the region

Chances are excellent that you've heard me express the importance and benefit of hospice to those facing the end of their lives and their families. A lot of what is provided to patients is done through Medicare, so the above and beyond type stuff hospices do is donor funded. I hope you will help us out if you have a little bit to give.
