Our 8th grade class is off to visit DC

At Whitefish Christian Academy, our eighth graders culminate their humanities studies with an immersive exploration of the history, government, and culture of the United States. For many of these students - some who have been with us since preschool - the 8th Grade D.C. Trip brings their classical education to life in the very places where our nation’s story was shaped.

This spring, students will have the rare opportunity to visit the Capitol Building, meet with Representative Ryan Zinke, tour the Supreme Court, explore the Library of Congress, reflect at the Holocaust Museum, and experience the reverence of Arlington National Cemetery. They’ll step into America’s founding documents at the National Archives, discover scientific wonders at the Smithsonian Museums, and encounter beauty firsthand in the National Gallery of Art.

Beyond academics, this trip also provides meaningful, memorable experiences - from exploring our nation’s monuments to enjoying time together as a class.

Our goal is to make this trip both formative and unforgettable, giving students a deeper understanding of their country, their heritage, and their place in the world.
