A contribution to The Maryland crabs will support both ACB National and our state affiliate, which provides advocacy, programs and activities for people who are blind and visually impaired in Maryland.
What resides in Maryland, has six legs and loves to walk? Well, it’s not just a Chesapeake crab, but yours truly and my guide dog as we take part in this year’s annual walk for the American Council of the Blind.
The Maryland Crabs is a walk team for ACB of Maryland. we're a dedicated group of advocates promoting independence and inclusion for people who are blind and visually impaired throughout our state. As a walk team, we hope to raise awareness to the importance walking brings in not just living a healthy life, but also in addressing the challenges that stand in our way to full independence and inclusion in our society. From safe pedestrian friendly streets, to advancements in technology that help expand our independence, your contribution helps our affiliate make lasting change for people who are blind and visually impaired.
