After moving to Alabama three years ago, I found the volunteer opportunities were very limited, not because they didn't exist, but because I couldn't access them due to the lack of available transportation options in my area. Becoming a part of ACB Next Generation changed all that. Now, I am the vice chair of the fundraising committee with the possibility of becoming the lead chair in the future. I think that the Brenda Dillon Walk is very important because proceeds from this event will allow ACB Next Generation to continue hosting programs, such as the Saturday Night Live hangouts, the monthly education calls and the new technology grant program.
