I've challenged myself to run/bike 600 minutes in October to support Snow City Arts!

My fundraising challenge this year is $500 - thank you for supporting both my fitness and fundraising goals!  The entire SCA family thanks you for your support!

I will be matching each dollar donated, up to $500, towards my goal before October 31st!  No donation is too small - every single dollar makes a difference.  

Many of you know that I've served on the Auxiliary Board of Snow City Arts for four years, supporting the organization's mission to inspire and educate children in Chicago hospitals through the arts.  I’m very excited and honored to be supporting them again this year.  The teaching artists of SCA provide an outlet for creativity and imagination for their students.  They transform a hospital room into a place for learning and exploration, through projects covering visual arts, music, theater, creative writing, and more.

Snow City Arts inspires youth in Chicago area hospitals by helping them create and learn about art. Each year, Snow City Arts provides arts instruction to approximately 1,300 patients at Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Children's Hospital University of Illinois, and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. On April 24, 2020 launched the Snow City Arts Virtual Learning workshops as a result of the increased isolation created by the impacts of COVD 19 pandemic and shelter in place orders.  This model of program delivery will continue to evolve, as will our attention to creating a dynamic, anti-racist, Federal and State standard aligned curriculum that can be differentied for a variety of learners ages 5-24.
