"Doctors find the illness. We find the artist!"
For over twenty years, Snow City Arts has inspired and educated children and youth in hospitals through the arts. I am grateful to have this opportunity to support Snow City Arts for the seven year by swimming, cycling, and walking/jogging.
Snow City Arts inspires youth in Chicago area hospitals by helping them create and learn about art. Each year, Snow City Arts provides arts instruction to approximately 1,300 patients at Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Children's Hospital University of Illinois, and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. On April 24, 2020 launched the Snow City Arts Virtual Learning workshops as a result of the increased isolation created by the impacts of COVD 19 pandemic and shelter in place orders. This model of program delivery will continue to evolve, as will our attention to creating a dynamic, anti-racist, Federal and State standard aligned curriculum that can be differentied for a variety of learners ages 5-24.
