One bright side of the pandemic-being able to participate in the Snow City Arts Challenge from afar! I last ran in 2017 while living in Chicago but since moving to St. Louis, I've only been able to donate to the fundraiser. Now I can count my runs, walks, and workouts for a good cause!
Snow City Arts inspires youth in Chicago area hospitals by helping them create and learn about art. Each year, Snow City Arts provides arts instruction to approximately 1,300 patients at Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Children's Hospital University of Illinois, and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. On April 24, 2020 launched the Snow City Arts Virtual Learning workshops as a result of the increased isolation created by the impacts of COVD 19 pandemic and shelter in place orders. This model of program delivery will continue to evolve, as will our attention to creating a dynamic, anti-racist, Federal and State standard aligned curriculum that can be differentied for a variety of learners ages 5-24.
