Lori and I met in the second grade. We became best friends immediately. She was my maid of honor, helped my husband and I move into our first home, and was the first person to visit me when I came home from the hospital after my cancer surgery. She was loving, caring and would literally give you the shirt off her back! Seriously, she once gave me a glove so we both had one warm and one cold hand! I love sharing our story of friendship. I hate sharing her story of domestic violence, but I do in hopes it helps someone else escape. There are so many resources our there to help! BH Care is one of those. Her family and friends have been working with them for years to help raise money and awareness. I ask, if you can, to please donate anything to help this cause. This year, we are walking in honor of Lori Jackson, a victim of domestic violence, whose life was tragically cut short in 2014. This walk will honor her memory and raise critical funds for BHcare domestic violence programs.
