A few months ago, Bobbie and I started giving the kiddos an allowance to help teach them about money. One of the conditions of the allowance is they must give some to others in need. So we each set aside a dollar a week into our family donation jar. We did a few small donations in the Fall contributing to a good friend's fundraiser and our school PTA, but we wanted to start 2024 off with something bigger. So, this spring we're participating in our local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter's annual bowling event. The kids are very excited to help! They are planning to contribute all of our donation jar funds to the event, but they want to raise a lot more. If you have a little money to spare and want to help us beat our fundraising goal, we'd all really appreciate it, and I'm sure BBBS and the kids they help would appreciate it too! We’ve been posting thank you messages on Facebook to the folks who have donated, and we'll definitely post pictures from the event as well... the more money we raise, the sillier we'll be!
