Adoptee Hub is a 501c3 nonprofit organization

This year Adoptee Hub is showcasing an adoptee transracial film titled “Forget Me Not”. Come also to meet director Sun Hee who will speak virtually from Denmark to share her film. Adoptee Hub is also featuring a Korean birth mother, who is traveling here from Korea, to tell her personal story of why she gave up her child for adoption. We hope that seeing and hearing these stories, will help to provide insight into the importance of our friends, families, and our community. Join us in stepping up to make possible the opportunity to build post-adoption services for adoptees and their families.    

To do this, Adoptee Hub has taken charge of the efforts to develop and create a web portal. This portal will help adoptees and their birth families access services for support groups, therapy, translation, and aims to start connecting adoptees and their birth families. This portal will provide a private and confidential virtual space for birth families and adoptees to start linking their information and hopefully, eventually matching and reuniting families. For this to happen, we are aiming to raise $100,000. Portions of funding would include in-kind donations from individuals like you, foundations, and grants.  Throughout the night there will be a silent auction and drawing.   

These services will offer opportunities to see and discuss a full spectrum of adoptee life experiences, upbringings, self-identities, and birth search reunions from beginning to end. We hope that this event will encourage and create a dialogue on how adoptees balance issues of their adoptee experience, race, culture, and identity. As new insights emerge, they should be captured and identified. These services are long overdue.

Virtual attendees are welcome to come and go as they please. The screening starts at 4:40pm and lasts for 84 minutes, attendees will receive a zoom link the day of the event. The Birth Mother session starts at 7:00pm and lasts for 60 minutes.
