Pets play an important role in the lives of many older adults.
They provide comfort, companionship, and a sense of purpose. At the same time, the cost of veterinary care can make it difficult for older adults to keep their pets healthy.
The Power of Pets program helps cover up to $200 each year in essential veterinary care for eligible adults age 65 and older across the Merrimack Valley and North Shore.
Support may include vaccinations, spay and neuter services, flea and tick treatments, checkups, nail trims, and other routine care.
This program helps older adults continue to experience the companionship of their pets while ensuring pets receive the care they need to thrive.
