In 1981, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held the first fundraiser to benefit an AIDS organization.  It was a dog show on Castro street.  Since then, the Sisters have been on the front lines of the fight against AIDS.

To this day, our houses across the world raise money to continue this fight.  We here in the South Florida house support AIDS Walk Miami.

100% of every dollar raised from AIDS Walk Miami go to Care Resource and its Food For Life Network Food Bank to continue providing critical help to the 17,000+ individuals annually who depend on its essential services: primary medical and dental care, HIV and STI testing, case management, counseling, prevention education, housing, food and nutritional assistance, and much more.

These causes are deeply in line with our mission as Sisters to spread Universal Joy and to expiate Stigmatic Guilt. These services help those living with HIV/AIDS to live healthier, more joyful lives free of shame and stigma.  It also falls in line with our mission to educate our community in the ways of preventing infection.

Your donation to our team and to AIDS Walk Miami 2019 will help guarantee continued support for the tens of thousands people living with HIV in Miami-Dade County and Broward County.
