Alaska Diaper Fund Fundraiser

One in three Alaskan families struggle to provide clean diapers for their baby. We want to change that. Diaper need is prevalent across Alaska, increasing financial burden and stress for struggling families. Babies without clean diapers are exposed to more potential health risks & less likely accepted to daycares, leaving parents unable to attend work.

Help support Alaskan families diaper needs today! Your gift will help us supply diapers in your community and statewide! You can support a nonprofit organization, community or statewide diaper needs!

Diapers are as essential to a baby's healthy development as a mother's love. Keeping infants and toddlers clean, dry, and healthy is key to building a solid foundation for all children to reach their full potential.

Donate now, with your gift, you can make the difference for one baby today. For every $100 gift you make, you supply (1) month of diapers for 1 child.

Our History

The Alaska Diaper Fund Coalition is made up of nonprofits who operate Diaper Pantries in their communities across Alaska. We convenved together, back in January, due to the increasing ask and need of struggling families to provide clean diapers to their babies.

Our Coalition is made up of nonprofits who want to answer the ever increasing demand. In partnership with the Alaska Children's Trust, and the National Diaper Bank Network, our first nonprofit coalition members consist of: Alaska Adoption Services, Alaska Family Services, the Community Pregnancy Center, Hello Baby!, a program of the Juneau Partnerships for Families & Children, and Sprout Family Services. This is our first year combining our efforts to fundraise funds that will support each nonprofit. You are able to direct your funds to their nonprofit/community, or statewide (which will be allocated by clients served to our recipients). If you would like to learn more about each recipient, go to their respective area, and click on their website link below.

If you are interested in joining our coalition for 2023, please send an email to: kidsfirst@alaskachildrenstrust.org for more information.

Alaska Adoption Services

Alaska Adoption Services (AAS) is a non-profit adoption agency serving families across Alaska. AAS started the Community Diaper Pantry to assist families in need in Anchorage with diapers, wipes and other baby essentials. AAS is a proud member of the National Diaper Bank Network. AAS also helps expectant families consider their parenting options and assist them in making a plan of adoption for their child. AAS helps adoptive families grow their families through infant adoption. Alaska Adoption Services is currently the only domestic infant adoption agency in the state of Alaska. We are proud to serve families all over Alaska and believe there is a forever family for every Alaskan child. Since opening in early 2019, Alaska Adoption Services has proudly expanded its supportive services. AAS serves the state of Alaska in helping foster youth attain permanency through home study services and recruitment.

AAS has helped over 200 families and several of those families return each week. Since their opening, they have given out more than 42,000 diapers to families. The Community Diaper Pantry is currently sustained through donors and supportive community members.

Quote from a family advocate in the community:

“It [Diaper Pantry] is very helpful. People who are receiving the diapers, they’re all happy. They have limited income so it supports their families. Everybody is thankful and happy for support.” - AAS

Juneau Partnerships for Families & Children

Juneau Partnerships for Families & Children (PFC) is a group of 16 non-profit and state agencies whose efforts are supported by the ‘backbone’ agency, AEYC (Association for the Education of Young Children–Southeast Alaska). We work together to promote a web of support for young children and their families. Our collaborative efforts have been successful in initiating many longstanding parent and community resources in Juneau.

Our vision is that all families with young children have access to community resources that support their health, growth and development. We know that diapers are a recurring and significant need for Juneau families. Please support our efforts through the ACT Diaper Fund to ensure families can get needed diapers in Juneau by donating to AEYC. Together, we’ve got our families covered.
