I’m participating in this fundraiser as both a parent in the ALD community and a board member of ALD Connect.

My son William was diagnosed through newborn screening almost 2 years ago and like many families here, that diagnosis changed everything for us. We started Will to Cure ALD as a way to take action and help move research forward for the entire ALD community. 

What I’ve learned along the way is that no single family, foundation, or institution can do this alone. Progress happens when families rally behind a shared mission and when research dollars are coordinated and directed toward the most impactful work. This is where ALD Connect plays such a critical role. It brings families together, provides trusted information and support, and helps turn collective effort into real momentum toward a cure.

I’m proud to support this fundraiser and to stand alongside other families who are helping move this work forward. Thank you for being part of this community and for supporting the research and collaboration that will ultimately change the course of this disease.
